The Blackprint

BPAO’s first-ever documentary exploring Black manhood, wellness, identity, and healing.

About

The Blackprint: A Journey of Thought, Growth & Thriving in Black Manhood is BPAO’s first-ever documentary, created to make space for honest conversations about the experiences of Black men in Ontario.

Written and directed by BPAO President Dr. Mojola Omole, the one- documentary brings Black men from different generations together around an intimate dinner table to explore identity, mental health, fatherhood, masculinity, vulnerability, resilience, and healing.

At its heart, The Blackprint asks us to listen differently, beyond the assumptions and stereotypes often placed on Black men, and toward a deeper understanding of their lived experiences, challenges, relationships, and hopes.

The documentary premiered on August 9, 2025, at TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto, followed by a panel discussion and reception that brought together healthcare professionals, community advocates, artists, and members of the public.

The Impact

The Blackprint created space for Black men in Ontario to speak openly about identity, mental health, fatherhood, resilience and healing, bringing conversations often left unspoken into a shared community space.
